After chatting with Sunny and the Bowerseses, I think Wednesday, July 6 works for Forkers Day at Six Flags. Without Phyllis. Oh well.

And please hold Friday, June 30, open for a Forkers dinner. Where you wanna go? May I suggest Pepe's & Mito's in Deep Ellum?

My mom's reaction when I explained that I have a teenager from England staying with me:
"What if he drinks or does drugs and burns your house down?!"

Steve, I told her you wouldn't so you can't, OK? Mainly the arson part.

i want steve to come to denton. and i want to show him walmart.
actually, i want to hog steve because i'm selfish.

So, will you be moved in and ready to host visitors by July 9th? I go back to school the next day, so it would be great if he could stay with you that week. Otherwise, I'll be away from the house from 7:30 a.m. - 10 or 10:30 p.m. and not much fun as a host. . .

i really really hope we're moved and ready by then. but you'd have to ask my mom. she never tells me anything.

edit: i called my mom and she said we'd definitely be moved by then.

errr. i have no idea at all. I really do want to come to austin. I haven't heard anything from MT in a while though. I hadn't planned ANYTHING for dallas or austin before this thread. I'd like to make it down for a few days, mere?

One day I want to take Steve to Central Market and the Farmers Market and then we can cook in my megatron American kitchen with too many sink fixtures.

Another day I can take him to hot yoga so I can watch the Brit swelter in the indoor heat.

i love cooking, but i do not dig yoga. especially hot yoga. i am not mr flexible or mr leotard, thankyou very much. you will have lots of chances
to laught at me being too hot. in fact, the entire duration of my trip!

i think june 30th forum dinner would be awesome.

i think that once all of this idea pitching is over and done with and plans are made final one big post (in bold) should be made so everyone knows what's going down on different dates when steve is in town. sound good?

I might be able to make it to the dinner. Especially if it's at P&Ms.
I just might have a little feller in tote. I dunno.
Wee has a slumber party that night and my son and I usually are evicted as the party gets started. If that's the case, and he's with me, I might bring him.

If he's at his granmother's for the night... then I'm free and will totally be there - tecate in hand.

I've met several of the dallas forkers but never really had a chance to hang out. I'm looking forward to this!
