Because of the scalding hot cheese and grease. Are you reheating it in the microwave? Try putting your cold slices in a pan on the stove top. It'll keep the crust crispy and doesn't boil the cheese like a microwave will do.

As a sidenote, I can't drink hot drinks like normal people. I have to wait for them to cool down halfway to room temperature.



Is it just me, or is that "Tonto, jump on it! Jump on it! Jump on it!" song popping up all over now? Dodgeball, commercials, radio. . .

Do you have a squeeze toy?

You mean one of these poppy alien toy thingies?

I have toys at work that I mess with when I am on calls. Not squeeze toys, though -- my go-to toys are a slinky, a magnet sculpture and this snake thingie that is made out of rotating macaroni-shaped pieces.

hot or iced. maybe a little spiced. it sounds peppery, i like that. maybe a fruity ice tea would be good, but I don't think I've tried that.

who's your favorite moustache?

I didn't know moustaches were whos, but I'm going to go with Scott Gammil's moustache. He uses moustache wax and curls up the end. He's in a barber shop quartet, but he curls it every day. I used to think it was just bizarre, but now I like it. It makes him quirky (though I wouldn't want a guy with a curled moustache giving me a performance evaluation).

Tell me about one of the quirkies in your office (we all have 'em).

We've got tons of 'em. And nicknames for each one. Lethal Weapon, Bird Man, The Crane, Wall Hugger, Yuck Mouth, The Breather.
But the weirdest is probably Dressing Drinker. He's got tons of quirky things about him. He pees about two feet from the urinal. He wears clogs year round. He works out in the company gym in his khakis (and his clogs). But he got his nickname from his daily habit of eating a huge salad with half a bottle of italian dressing. Once he's finished off the greens he has a plate pooled with several ounces of dressing... which he drinks.
It's quite the crowd pleaser.

Yes, for the most part...save for the typically annoying NBC ones where they leave you hanging on weather ______ will hook up with _____, who have been flirting at a relationship for the whole season but never do cause they are at different places in their lives... (See "Suddenly Susan", "Friends", "News Radio", and all the others!)

We just had the garlicy assault of rolls from Vitto at dinner, so I can't think of lunch for at least another half-hour.

Have you ever thrown something at your TV out of disgust?

Yes. But usually stuff like popcorn while watching a shitty movie or crumpled paper or pencils during horseracing or baseball.
I don't think I've thrown anything too hard.

Have you ever had a discussion with the television during a movie or a game?

Movies, not usually. Games, absolutely. I am appalled that everyone doesn't realise my god given talent as a manager-coach-player despite last playing competitive sports in the 8th grade, especially when they are on the field and I am squatting over my couch and yelling "What!!! You've got to be fucking kidding me!!!" The most inspiring words of all time.

What is the most annoying thing you can see from your desk at work?

Most annoying thing I can see from my desk:
the empty office across the hall, where my boss will probably take up residence. (She is around the corner right now, and that is already too close for comfort.)

Most annoying thing I can't see from my desk:
a window. Unless I stand up and the people with offices have their doors and blinds open.
