My Kid Goes To Camp Sabra

Seen on a bumper sticker in town:

WTF, how come my links don't always work?

P.S.
You can tell it's Dallas because it looks like the 'hood but it's across the street from multi-million dollar town homes on Turtle Creek.

It also has a HOCKADAY sticker on it but I can overlook it because there's a John Kerry sticker, too.

If there were more like this one at Hockaday, I think it would be a very different place.

that link didn't work because you deleted a bracket and one of the last ones you did that didn't work was because there was a space between the link and the closing [/url] thing 'cause i noticed. it has to be like right up against each other.

aaaah turtle creek i've been there tons of times i love that area.

Okay. Does anybody want to take a minute and explain to an outsider what this thread is about?
It keeps cropping up and I have know idea what it means.
'preciate it :)

I am an outsider, too, but I have figured this out:

Camp Sabra is the camp where Dalya and NerfHerder worked as counselors last summer. Formerly referred to only as "Jew Camp" until someone disclosed the actual name on the Spork forum.

And references to the other bumper stickers:

Hockaday is a high-priced private school for girls in Dallas.

John Kerry was defeated by George Bush in the last presidential election.

Kinky Friedman is presently gathering petition signatures to put him on the ballot to run for governor of Texas as an independent against Rick Perry, the incumbent Republican and George W. Bush's successor.

Michael (Squashed Dog) also worked there this summer (or at least for 2nd session + Burn Camp) and was an expert soccer/football coach and fisherman. He had the priviledge of putting my worm on his hook many times.

you guys didnt work at burn camp. you kept me company while i hacked up phlegm and cried all day. and you went fishing once. congratulations here is your $250.

also me and michael are going back because were COOL and we like being JEWISH and TAN and we like hanging out with KIDS cause when you tell them to act like a BIRD something they will lay down on the FLOOR and you ask WHAT ARE YOU DOING and they say:

"I'm laying an egg!"

it's late. kids are funny.

Maybe 8-year old girls and/or boys will lay eggs as you suggest, but 14-year old boys will ask you if they can skip out on the planned raid so they can go "get some."

The answer, of course, is hearty yes accompanied with either a low 5/manhug or a headlock/noogie with optional sarcastic comment about how ugly the youngster is.
