The Razor's Edge, starring Bill Murray, based on the book of the same title. It's really good. Highly recommended for a Friday night with Glynnis.

I could never bring myself to quote Hawthorne. way too romantic for my taste. I can't even bring myself to read anything else by him after The Scarlet Letter was forced on me in high school.

I would suggest the Tyrone Power version of the Razor's Edge if you want a more romantic take on it. The Bill Murray one is somewhat underappreciated, though.

hahaha I want to get a West Highland Terrier and name it Tyrone.

I love Bill Murray so much. How is the other version different? Less humor? More book burning on Mt. Everest?

It just has that swoony quality of 1946 movies that don't have John Wayne in them.

movies made from 1946-1948 are spectacular. even the worst films noir are better than some of the "good" movies made today. they just stuck with a good formula and cast bogie for everything. then the damn antitrust laws ruined hollywood. blast! i liked the monopoly!
