Houston
I got lost in downtown Houston late at night after a gig and couldn't find a way out or to a highway. The only sign I did see was totally wrong, then I didn't see any other signs. I still don't know how we got back to the hotel. It felt like we were driving around for hours.
I have really never been there otherwise, so I have nothing to judge it by but that experience. But I don't think I ever want to go back. I hate it.
When have you been seriously lost?

Ha! You should ask Bon about that. I get lost all the time but sometimes I get dangerously lost in foreign countries by myself and end up in scary predicaments.
I've yet to be lost in nature though. That's something I've been wanting to try.
Ever been in a situation where you thought you might get murdered?

yes, some crackhead was trying to rob me and some friends (with the old gun in the pocket trick). I had to decide in a split second if he indeed had a gun and make my move. I decided if he ever had a gun, he'd sold it for crack a long time ago....but it was still insane, he was climbing into my car and I had to pull him out.

Relatively big, yes.
When I was 7, I entered the weekly contest in the funny papers -- complete a maze so Cappy Dick can find his treasure. I decorated it with glitter and mounted on colored paper, and won the national prize that week!
- 1 Rubik's cube
- 1 Rubik's game (a cube with pegs?)
- 1 Rubik's Revenge (4x4 instead of 3x3)
- 1 Rubik's snake
- 1 Rubik's pyramid
It was cool.
Can you solve Rubik's Cube? If not completely, ho wmany sides could you get?

CONGRATS on the bike!

hell no. but i know some kids at school who know how to solve it. it's a group of 'em and they are pretty obsessed with it. apparently there is some mathematical way to solve it using algorithms. but as far as i can tell it takes too much time and effort. i think i got one side once.

Well, the weekend is almost over. After work on Friday we headed out to a camp site near Corfe Castle. Yesterday was split between Monkey World (YAY!), the Bovington Tank Museum and Lulworth Cove. Now we're home and going to Wagamama for lunch! Woot! Awesome weekend!

No and kinda yes.
No when it comes to car camping. They're notoriously unreliable, deflating in the middle of the night because of some unknown hole or something as simple as temperature changes. Right now we use cots.
Yes when we are backpacking later this summer and we'll have lightweight self-inflating mats. This aren't exactly matresses but still...
(By the way, we just ordered our backpacks this past friday and we're soooper excited!)

spring for me, the thought of getting some sun and the longer days wins me over every time.
what's the strangest conversation you've ever eavesdropped on?
(for me - a discussion on which cubicle someone had been stabbed to death in a week before in a venue in Houston while waiting to use the urinals.)
