today was pretty lazy - up at 6.30, went grocery shopping and into town to get some new library books then home to listen to music, read and catch up on lots of TV. next week should be similar, we're going camping near Corfe Castle :)

How many emails will I have to read when I go back to work on Monday (been off for a week)?

Oh god, no doubt about 50. Probably about 30 of them will be pointless irritations.

Who will you be supporting at Euro 2008?

Meh. With England not there it's hard to get behind any neutral team. Can't even support the riot police.

...Whoever the underdog is in each match I guess.

Do you ever rely on remembering certain things just from a catchy saying? For instance, I always remember to do shots before having lager by saying in my head "liquor before beer, you're in the clear. Beer before liquor, never sicker" before a night out. If I don't say it then the night is usually disasterous.

Aye, like "Ham before jam, you'll meet a Pam." and "See a squirrel do a dance, do a poo in your pants."

I always stick by them.

Zeppelin or Sabbath?

My favourite is teh B0lly, and the best (just for a change from Hendrix) is Kevin Shields. I am still mystified as to how the sounds on Loveless are made by guitars.

Futurama Vs. The Simpsons.

i'll have to agree with dr. hibbert. then i'd be closer to being a doctor, too. bonus points. also wish i could impersonate apu without being a racist (like 50% of my school is indian or middle eastern).

has anyone ever been blatantly racist or sexist towards you?

Racist in terms of being Irish, but not for a long time. I've had man hating vibes from lesbians actually, but most of the time they think I'm gay.

What is the biggest faux pas you've made this year?

not towards me but I remember arguing with a black guy and his white friend a few years ago about the spree. I said they were great but he said he wouldn't listen to them because he was black and "they were all racist texan motherfuckers". Apparently this friend had "important contacts in the music industry who new the inside story about their racist intentions". I thought it funny that this guy was a senior doing a cultural studies degree at Uni. Clearly he'd been paying attention.

***edit***

biggest faux pas...probably when I let one rip in the library last week whilst forgetting where I was.

When was the last time you left a show midway through because of a terrible band?

At the tunnels watching The Enablers, they were fucking terrible. I only went as they are on Neurot Records, home of Neurosis and Made out of Babies.

Have you ever looked at your poo after a shit and been worried?

yeah, usually when something like a whole almond is sticking out the top of it like it's a captain steering a ship, I worry that it maybe scraped my insides on the way out, causing internal bleeding.

What was the last movie you walked out of midway through at the cinema?

I dont think i've ever walked out of a movie. when i was actually going to te theater a lot I was pretty selective. i've turned off videos or flipped channels a lot, but can't remember the last one. if i pay for something and it's horrible i like to stick around... i like train wrecks on a big screen with good sound.

when is the last time you walked out on a movie?
