Half for splitting the cost of a PS3 (when metal gear solid 4 comes out) the other half for my trip to San Francisco in July!

in 2006 i got a $4 refund. in 2007 I owed $1.75. I haven't earned a penny (that I reported to the govt) since then.

Pretty sure I don't get $600. My parents will probably spend theirs on the dog. Cause she needs more toys.

So, those of you who filed joint returns.... are you getting seperate checks? I'm hearing from folks that are surprised to get only half of what they expected.

Direct deposit but just one.

(We received a letter, dated 5/12, saying that we could expect our payment by 5/09.)

Damn shit balls! I was expecting something from this to hit on Monday.
Today I get at email regarding a much-little known exception that may affect some of y'all.

If you chose direct deposit for your return but also had any e-file fees taken from your refund, you'll be switched to a check rather than direct deposit.

I did that. I had the $19.95 or whatever deducted from my return rather than pay it out of my own pocket (per se).
So, instead of getting all stimulated on Monday I have to wait until July 4th. Which I already know that ain't gonna happen being it's a federal holiday.

Uncle Sam can suck my shortly shorn balls.

ouch. I use an old fashioned accountant type person and just write her a check (which sucks cuz I'd rather pay her out of my refund) but at least I got my $600 right away.

PLUS for my birthday, my mom is giving me $300 of her $600 WOOO GO ME!!!!

We're getting checks (refund & stimulus) and I am checking the mailbox every day. You think it will be more like July???

please stimulate me. i need to pay my bills. the last 2 digits of my social security number place me in the "early" group. please don't tell me my check is lost in address-changing-post-office hell. cause i need some money. and while you're at it, tell my old apartment complex to send me back my security deposit. kthx.

love,
katie
