Texas Monthly: Vacation Places to Take Your Li'l Texans

Postby mr_j » Fri Apr 18, 2008 7:41 pm

Just been reading the new Texas Monthly, and it listed 68 fun places to take your kids to during the summer. It states that it's a "requirement of all native Texas parents and parents of native Texans" to take your kids to the Alamo.

How many of your parents took you to the Alamo on summer vacation? Six Flags? Palo Duro Canyon? Bluebell Ice Cream Factory?

we went to the alamo. but it wasn't the destination. we were visiting family in san antonio on our way to port aransas. went to six flags with friends. drove by the blue bell place once. no palo duro, but big bend, ft davis, possum kingdom, tyler, south padre, galveston, mustang island, corpus, lake buchanan, austin, lake whitney, inks lake, lost pines, lost maples. and a few more on those states to the north of us.

Anyone can take their kid to the Alamo.

A loving Texan would take their offspring to the other missions in San Anton's mission trail.

Anyone can take their kid to the Alamo.

A loving Texan would show their offspring how to pee on the Alamo.
