Too many tattoo parlours in Deep Ellum?

Corporate Landowners

this 2 year ruling to reapply for clubs etc sounds pretty poor - what's the incentive to do anything with this hanging over your head?

i know that there have been a few posts about Deep Ellum going downhill (tea rooms closing etc) - will there be anything left to do in central Dallas in a few years time?

in a few years? Hell, there isn't anything to do now. Pretty much all that's left in Ellum is Double-wide and it's technically on the edge of Ellum and Fair Park.

It appears that the general plan is to turn Deep Ellum into another Uptown/St. Thomas/The Village type of "community." Wonderful for the yuppified $30K millionaire types, shitty for the locals wanting a "scene."
