Helen and Russ' wedding, April 6.

Postby monet2u » Wed Apr 05, 2006 8:49 pm

I'm heading up to Yosemite Park in the early morn for their wedding. :D

They left with their families today and will be up there enjoying the park thru the weekend.

I'm sure it will be wonderful. I'm bringing a lovely picnic for us to enjoy after the ceremony and yummy cake with bubbly. I'm very excited for them.

I haven't seen them since they got into town tho as I had to miss *GASP* the anchor brewery tour I booked for them on Monday....boo hiss on work. Can't wait to see them tho. :D

I'll be sure to take lots of pics to bring back with me (I'm coming back on Friday).

darn just missed a call from Helen and of course mobiles don't work in the mountains...and I tried ringing the room...and missed them there. GAH

Sounds like it's horribly wet from snow  (jackie doesn't do well in snow) so no picnic. :(

I've suggested they find an inside place maybe around the HUGE fireplace that we can have an indoor picnic. I hope that works out. She said to bring everything anyway....so maybe they can sort something else out for us.

I promise to give them forum hugs and well wishes for sure. :D

YAYYYY :D :D

(if you're still around) Give Helen a super big hug and tell Russ he's a beautiful frontman. He'll understand

Make sure they know that they're missing some lovely weather :)

I hope their wedding is all they hoped it would be! I know they have been looking forward to the trip (duh) and I am sure they're having a wonderful time.

Hugs for Helen & Russ!

The Wedding was lovely...I barely made it because of a road detour....but I made (no time to even change from my driving clothes :? ).

Aside from the detour and even tho it had snowed the night they arrived and the next day...Helen and Russ were given the most beautiful weather on their wedding day. It dried out enough (from the snow) and we were able to have the picnic as planned.

Both of them looked so lovely!

Helen is going to put together a proper wedding photo album to share, but I'm allowed to post a little something to wet your appetite.

Here are some lovely pics taken in Yosemite park.

Snow on the way into the park (you enter at the top then drive to the valley).

Such massive rocks/mountains.

Tons of waterfalls everywhere.

Water under the bridge.

It was a beautiful day and wedding. Their families were lovely to meet and very welcoming (being the only 'non family member' there'). The day seemed to be exactly how they wanted it to be. I'm so chuffed for both of them. Such a beautiful place to be married in, they did well choosing that location.

She looks georgous.

Great pictures. I've never been to Yosimite. It's on my to-do list.

Beautiful!!

See that ribbon on her bouquet? She had it made with family wedding photos -- and I think photos of Russ and herself. . .

Sucha a neat idea.
