x box bargain / query

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

from now to 29 november, you can get an xbox with 4 games (forza, halo 2, project gotham racing 2 and fable) for 49.98 in argos. linkage

as amy's a big jet set radio future fan we've decided to wait on guitar hero 2 until after christmas and get this instead so one should now be reserved in store until monday for us :D

having not paid too much attention to the world of xbox gaming until now, are there any titles anyone would recommend for future reference?

off to hunt out jsrf on ebay now

forza, halo 2, and fable are three of my favorite xbox games ever.

also good:
Psychonauts - In Psychonauts, the player controls Raz (short for Razputin), a mysterious new arrival at a training camp for Psychonauts — elite special agents who use their psychic powers to combat psycho-terrorism and retrieve information from inside people's minds. After honing his own mental abilities, Raz discovers that someone is abducting cadets from the camp with the purpose of stealing their brains. He must discover who is behind this sinister plot and stand against this evil.

I was just about to post up Psychonauts. The Legacy of Kain games are pretty damn fun as well. Of course, you have to pick up a copy of Star Wars: Republic Commando. I keep coming back to that one.

I haven't tried Republic Commando, but I liked Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. That's a good 60-or-so hours of gameplay right there.

Psychonauts is a must, though I played it for the PS2 when it came out!

Speaking of Guitar Hero II...I now hate the Living End thanks to that game!

I'll second the Legacy of Kain motion.

Soul Reaver 1 blew me away, and Soul Reaver 2 simply floored me. The plot action at the end of Soul Reaver 2 had me more enthralled than just about any movie I can think of.

The original Blood Omen was a classic, but is definitely dated at this point. It's worth playing purely for the backstory, though. Blood Omen 2 had very little to do with the overall storyline and was mediocre at best, and probably my least favorite in the series. LoK: Defiance was OK in terms of gameplay, but didn't really have an involved plot.

At least pick up the two Soul Reaver games. Still two of my all-time favorites.

I'm gonna go pick up a copy of Psychonauts soon, somehow that one slipped past me...

I heart our XBox. Especially because I can play Jet Set Radio Future. Yay.
