Yes, there's always something pleasant and surprizing going on. For instance, the weather's lovely today.

Would you agree that we're all a part of a corrupt system?

Your lack of will to revolutionary action makes you all complicit with this corrupt system and therefore you deserve no protection from complete destruction (ie yes).

Ever been offered a bribe?

nope, but that leads me onto my next question...

what's a block party and do they all happen at the same time or not?

A block party is any party where the whole block participates, and it often involves closing off the street to traffic. They can be held at any time for any occasion.

The block party (in Dallas anyway) is the one held in the gayborhood (Oak Lawn) every year the Saturday before Halloween. There's a parade and prizes, and some people work a good part of the year putting together amazing costumes.

What Halloween costume have you had that you've been proudest of?

initially, a block party was when all the people that lived on a block had a big joint party for socialising more than anything, but these days it's where they shut down a street somewhere and have one...kinda like what they do in Hitchin for Rhythms of the World Festival, but more on a block level instead of the entire town centre.

I used to be Mrs. Roper for Halloween in college because I had this awesome orange-and-green print kaftan/robe thingie with my mom's genuine 1970s boots and a curly wig. I always had to explain myself and half of the people didn't know Helen Roper -- but those people weren't fun to talk with anyway.

My favorite cheese is either asiago or Rocquefort. Still, sometimes I prefer good old melty American cheese.

0.0 as i haven't had a drink since the previous friday :o

we went on a ghost walk this evening, didn't see any ghosts but heard lots of stories about different buildings in the city. my favourite was the ghost of the old monk that tried to strangle a young girl in the 1970's and they had to perform an exorcism. while we were being told the story, you could see the room where it happened and the light was on...

one thing we saw at the cathedral that i've never noticed before was some holes behind the statues on the east wall. apparently the idea behind them was to allow the sound out so when there was a choir and congregation belting out some religious music, the sound would be heard outside and attract people to the church. sort of like the world's first marshall stack.

did you know that the north face of a church is the devil's side and they used to bury black dogs by north facing doors to guide evil spirits out of the church (and keep them out)?

No, but that's cool.

Did you know they bury all the dead shelties that were the Texas A&M mascot (is his name Revelry?) in front of the stadium?
