I can confirm that it is.

Though I did break down and get DSL @ home finally.

Is it worth watching Josie and the Pussycats because Parker Posey is in it, even though Tara Reid is in it?

I'll go out on a limb and call Royal Tenenbaum a villian. He is not an asshole, but he's kind of a son of a bitch, to quote his wife.

Do you have a favorite hero?

Not really, because I'd be faced with the embarrassing question: "hoosker" or "husker." I never knew.

What's the best solo project (or next band) that followed the break-up of a popular original band?

(e.g., Porno for Pyros, Breeders, Frank Black, Bjork, Polyphonic Spree, Wings, Sugar, Belly, Gwen Stefani solo, Justin Timberlake, etc.)

"Best" is always a difficult adjective to use with art, but the first good one that comes to mind that I really like is James Iha's solo album. Didn't meet with much comercial success, but it's a really sweet album.

Not sweet like, "Oh dude, sweet!"

But sweet like, "aww, what a pretty love song."

Do you ever use sweet in the, "Oh dude, sweet!" sense?

No, I've always been a fan of "cool."

Your James Iha reply leads me to what can be considered a politically incorrect question. . .

Who is the most talented (or notable or your favorite) non-white rock-and-roll musician?

(Jimi Hendrix doesn't count because he's more of a legend at this point.)

TV on the Radio as a whole.

Do you think it's ok to just assume someone is going to do something just because they've done it in the past?

uhhh....if you're at the stage in drinking when you can't really tell the difference between 'full' and 'empty' then it's pretty much time to stop drinking for the night.

then again, if you're that wasted, you'll be stopping soon enough, so why not have another, right?
