What are you listening to?

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

Have been trying with the Sleepy Jackson album, but really not liking it this time. No songs seem to stand out, and it all seems to samey. Not a patch on Lovers :(

We went to see them at the Zodiac the other week, and it was a bit, well, meh. It was only half full, and it just seemed so incredibly LOUD, you couldn't hear the vocals and it was just a bit much. When they toned it down a bit it was really nice, but the rest of the time I could take it or leave it. The set jsut all sort of blended into one.

We went to Truck last weekend, it was ace. Highlights were (in no particularly order) The Research, Trademark, A Scholar and a Physician, undertheigloo's acoustic set, Chris TT and Luke Smith.

I've not heard the Minor Threat demos...

Listening to Starlight Mints - Drowaton, not impressed at all.

Three years ago I bought the Super Furry Animals' Phantom Power and never really got into it at all, so I stopped listening.

I have listened to that album so many times on this trip you would not believe. It is soooo damn good, right up to the genius 7 minute long techno fuck-out of Slow Life at the end. yesssssss.
