That is a smart way to promote their one significant advantage over Netflix. Still, I think Blockbuster will be lucky to survive the next 5 years. Maybe the brand will get acquired or something. People were telling them that was the future before Netflix even started operating and it still took them seven years to get a viable alternative out there.

Has anyone tried the Blockbuster mail-in thing? I like Netflix (even though I haven't been using it lately), but if I could go rent a movie on a whim, I might use it more.

I didn't try the mail/net service by BB but we did use the in-store pass-thru thing they did awhile back. The problem was they never had anything decent in stock.
So we switched to Netflix.
