Dusting, especially around cluttered surfaces. Ah-choo.

a. What's the worst place you have ever been sunburnt?
b. Sunburned or sunburnt?

a. I am the queen of sunburns. The worst one I ever had was at cheerleading camp back in high school. I burn very, very easily due to my fair Irish skin, and we were outside for three days straight. We were wearing tank-tops and though I put sunscreen on - legit - every fifteen minutes, by the end of the first day, I had a very painful burn on my shoulders, arms, and top of my head. I requested that I be allowed to wear a t-shirt, and my bitch of a captain said no. Halfway through the second day, I had blisters underneath my skin (and you can imagine how great that felt doing stunts where girls had to stand on my shoulders, etc). By the end of the second day, I had passed out from heatstroke and had to go to the hospital to be treated for second-degree burns. Brushing my hair was bullshit cause I had blisters on my head. Yuck. I never made it to day three. It was wicked fun!

b. Either. I think sunburnt looks classier, though.

[edit]And I forgot to ask a question. Ooops.

Post Captain by Patrick O'Brian, or is it Brian O'Patrick? I have a weakness for historical fiction and of my all-time favorites is a true nautical story (Two Years Before the Mast).

Have you ever been on a boat/ship/watercraft that has wrecked or rolled over?

(we used to flip catamarans over for fun at summer camp).

Do jet skis, canoes, tubes, or kayaks count? If so, then yes.

When was the last time you sat down and wrote an actual letter?

1994. Or possibly 1997.
I was a very good letter writer until the internet killed it.

(and Sam, I turtled a cat in the Pacific one. It was a bitch to upright!)

Family newsletters. Do you actually read them?

I only get one and I do read it; from my sister-in-law. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I like to snicker the grammar and mispellings.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how bitchy is that?

It's not really an indulgence, but I have whittled away many hours this year playing a goofy hand-held Solitaire game, similar to this one.

A more embarrassing choice would be my love of America's Funniest Home Videos (the videos, not the host intros and outtros.)

The ultimate guilty pleasure is eating too much. If I loved alcohol or druggies as much, I'd be a hopeless addict.

What are you addicted to?

Be thankful you don't know. A family newsletter is usually circulated near the holidays. It goes out to extended family and friends in other cities with an update on the last year's happenings and a photo, often featuring horrible sweaters for some reason. Usually, the people that get them either already know what will be in there or don't care. There is the occassional over-the-top admission (like, now that granny is back from re-hab...) that makes them worth a glance.

Have you ever had to wear an elf or other x-mas related outfit?

No, I was never cool enough to be an elf, a reindeer, a snowman or a Claus -- but I know people who were.

(That's not shocking, but I like that smiley face.)

If you had/have a dog that required regular grooming, how much would you be willing to pay for a visit to the groomer?
