it's not that uncommon to consume the placenta. Sounds pretty yucky to me (and I'll eat just about freakin' anything), but it's right up some people's alley.

human placenta was once (and still is?) used in a number of cosmetic products...

my high school biology teacher had a kid the year i was in her class, and the doctor asked for the placenta after the kid was born. turns out he uses them in the soil for his prize-winning rose bushes; placenta is so stocked with minerals they make the flowers nearly double in size. it's still weird, but it's better than eating it.

on our ranch, the dogs LOVE to eat the cow placeta....they also like to eat the mountain oysters raw. for those don't know what mountain oysters(also called calf fries) are, they are the balls that have been cut from male calves to make them into steers.

So, any recommendations for preparation or is it best fresh?

we buried mine and dolan's placenta beneath the fig tree in my mom's back yard. the tree is booming. but i freakin HATE figs. it was my mom's idea.
the idea of throwing that in the dumpster when it was something that connected me and the kid for so long was just not working. nor did i want to eat it, for God's sake.

i have pics of it. anyone? haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. HA. what a weird looking thing.

Burying it is not a bad idea.

I also like the idea of planting a tree when a baby is born.

it's fair enough if he wants to eat that, each to their own innit. but he seriously is just making himself look more and more insane everytime someone talks to him.

I think I don't like the idea of eating placenta because it seems more like eating flesh than something "natural" (or perhaps, "logical/acceptable/necessary to me") like a baby drinking breastmilk.

so to add to this. it seems that bacon is the downfall of vegaterians, but placentas are.

i really am grossed out. so these people are vegaterians, except for placentas. really gross.

And why do we need this information about these two?
HE NEEDS TO SHUT-UP!
This should be nobody's buisness but their own.
Are they going to show us the video of the process when they're done?
Jesus, people have frickin' babies all the time. I don't give a shit.
Stick a straw in her uterus and suck up the alla, for all I care. Just quit feeding us information we don't need to be privy to.
God, I feel sorry for that baby.

*deeeeeeep breath* Okay. I'm done.
