ramo(e)n noodle question

Postby roach » Fri Mar 28, 2008 7:15 am

what's the longest you've gone past the "best by" date with these bad boys? I'm having some now that are over a year (feb 07) expired... the flavors in the package was kind of like that mexican candy that comes on wax paper and tastes like chili powder, but when it hit the water it was all better. I think I'll be ok, right?

i didn't know those things expired. I don't think there is anything in there that doesn't come out of a big bubbly vat in a lab.

I don't think there is anything in there that doesn't come out of a big bubbly delicious vat in a lab.

I don't really believe in expiration dates on dry goods. I found out a few weeks ago though that this does philosophy does NOT work with four year old frozen orange juice. It was brown and smelly.
But if you've had it that long and didn't eat it, you probably didn't want it anyway.

it was my last package of the junk, which means i would get low, buy more and pile it on top of that one. and the flavor was kind of lame.

i had the exact same experience with creamy chicken. i loved it. it was the only kind of ramen i would eat besides shrimp. my love for shrimp ramen will never die. anyway, after about a month i hated it and i haven't eaten it for a couple years.
