OK, despite the fact I'm drunk, I still can spell correctly, thus making the title of this thread a bit stupid. Yes, I'm still gramatically anal when I'm wasted. Perhaps I'm just not wasted enough. The US doesn't have Kronenbourg 1664, which is a shame because it would make you see what lager is supposed to taste like, and also a good thing because some manufacturer would get their hands on it and water it down aka Budwaster. But, quite simply, it's the best lager I've had, and I've had lots. And it's French; I thought they were supposed to be winemakers? Good for them...
Camden on Friday isn't nearly as fun as Camden on a Sunday. Wagamama still tastes great though...best restaurant ever. I talked to someone about the Boo Radleys but I can't remember his name. If anyone out there is a single guy around my age, Emma's best friend is a lovely girl, but be warned: she's indier than you...and she plays guitar...and don't get her started on Kristin Hersh or Dinosaur Jr unless you love them half as much as she does...she's incredibly lovely.
It's interesting in that other thread about Radiohead that Sybil thought they were a watered down Pink Floyd. I never thought of that, but I can say after listening to both band for lots of years, I can say there are some striking similarities. Guitar tones especially. Radiohead uses quite subdued tones, esp on these later albums (In Rainbows especially) that are pretty much David Gilmour's bread and butter. But as far as I can tell, that's where the similarities end. I just think their approach to music is really different (Pink Floyd more about the overall story and direction whereas Radiohead are more about sound exploration, esp Kid A forward). I suppose there's probably a bit more similarity with the Syd era stuff, as far as experimental stuff goes. I love both bands though. Still, I've seen Radiohead on three continents, and they are, easily, the best live band I've ever seen. Ever. If I get to see Led Zepplin next month that might change my mind, but so far, nobody else comes close. And I've seen Pink Floyd four times. Still, not close.
Smoking ban rules, I don't care if it's not really what everyone wants.

Love the Wagamama!!!
I agree completely. No more coming home from the pub smelling like an ashtray and wondering how long it will take for the smell to come out of my jacket.Smoking ban rules, I don't care if it's not really what everyone wants.
I'll be back in England in less than one month. YAY!
I'm gonna be drinking the cider and the bitter tho. mmmmmm can't wait! actually, had a dream about it last nite even.
Smoking bans are ok by me...even tho I really do love having a drink and a smoke at the same time. I also like not smelling like a ciggie when my night is over and plus I'm just used to it already because CA has had it for ages.

Kronenberg 1664: Give you one hell of a hangover. You should stick to the wonders of Tennants Lager, which is usually unavailable in England, boo!
Radiohead: Early period = Pixies crossed with Jeff Buckley. I think the Pink Floyd comparison is only relevant as to how both bands constantly changed how they produced music with little concern to what mainstream music was doing at the time.
