In Rainbows

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

In Rainbows

Postby James » Wed Oct 10, 2007 7:00 pm

Early thoughts....

Much more upbeat and happier than previous albums. It's obvious they had a lot more fun making this album. No real obvious hit, but incredibly strong from start to finish.

Haven't downloaded it yet.

I saw on some web site that a guy paid £99.99 for it. :D

I paid the £40. Easily worth it for my obsessive Radiohead collection...

My new MySpace headline as of this morning:

"In Rainbows. Perfectly timed for autumn. It's gonna be a good year."
"Mere 'I prefer my friends to stay in my computer' 1975"

got my dl today, listened to on the way to school.

i'm not sure yet about this whole thing.
i'm not a fan of the mixing on this album, and videotape should've been mind-blowing, but it wasn't quite there.

that having been said, i'm only once through, which will surely change in the next few hrs.

and i can't wait til i get ma diskbox. (come on dec 3rd!)

i think i'm the only person on earth who thinks radiohead is overrated. (except the bends.)

i'll give it a listen, though. probably just going to listen to a friend's copy. or get it for free since they're giving it away.

Uh, no, you aren't. As I've said before, I liked them better when they were called Pink Floyd.

And Pushing Daisies avatar! Are you sure we're not related?

niiiiice. i just think they're boring. i can't take thom yorke's wailing either. i get it. you're deep. you're sad. waaaaiiiiiiiiilllllll with tons of ambient noise in the background.

pushing daisies RULES. so happy. it's my favorite show so far of the new season. i haven't seen the second one yet, but the first one was so amazing i almost died. i'm not sure how far they can go with it, but it got points for me based on stylistic choices alone.

I don't care for radiohead either.

I just watched pushing daisies for the first time last nite....I'd heard it was good, but I was a bit thrown by it. I'll give it another try.

oooo and UGLY BETTY airs tonight.. OMG I've been waiting all summer!

several things.

#1. sorry for turning this into the "i don't like radiohead" thread. i'm done threadjacking now. except for these other points.

#2. jackie, didn't ugly betty start a couple weeks ago? my bestie derrick LOVES it and makes me watch it even though i'm eh about it.

#3. pushing daisies makes me very, very happy. just the colors are awesome, but then add in that morbid element, the quirkiness, the narrator, and the angst, and i'm hooked. we'll see how the rest of the season goes, though.

#4. phyllis, do i have to pay rent?
