We're not the kind of smokers that watch TV. It's usually inane (except for Conan O'Brien), even when dumbed down by pot. We're more "listen to music" people. And being an avid music lover, I have a much better setup in my room than we have in the living room.
Plus you don't want the whole house to smell like pot.

Doesn't anyone do the "turn down the TV, turn UP the stereo" thing these days? Especially during Conan O'Brien. We're not the kind of smokers that watch TV. ro"oh wait, that wasn't pot"ach
I've even heard of people turning on these crazy channels on something called the "B" side of cable and watching the weather radar or fish tanks being televised, tv muted, cd changer going, etc... Just something I heard about, once.Doesn't anyone do the "turn down the TV, turn UP the stereo" thing these days? Especially during Conan O'Brien. We're not the kind of smokers that watch TV. Last night, motherfucker pulled a bombshell.
Since we each have a case for the room, I suggested that we put six pieces of paper in a hat, each numbered 1-6. We would each pick three and then roll a dice. Whoever had the number got the room. Double blind double random. I thought it was kind of fair.
So then he retorts: If he doesn't get the room, he's going to look for a subleaser and move out. Because he said he'd rather find a place that he'd be comfortable than "cramped" in one of the other rooms. So either he gets the room or he moves out? What kind of a shitty move is that?
I'm considering calling this bluff.
The thing about housing in this town is that at this point, finding another room that is big enough and not a shithole and even semi-fair pricing would be impossible. The rational side of him may realize that he CAN'T find anything better than even the "cramped" room.
I mean, if he's going to be a fucking dick-ass kid about it, I should at least entertain the possibility of calling his bluff instead of just giving up, eh?

There's no way you can't call his bluff. If he ends up with the room because he pulls of that dickhead move then he will have to live in fear for the entire year. If he gets the room, you will be obligated to fuck with him and pull pranks and shit on him all year. He can go ahead and kiss his eyebrows goodbye.Last night, motherfucker pulled a bombshell.

My friend Amy and I lived together after college. We both wanted the bigger room with adjoining master bathroom. . . and we both just had one TV. . . so I said I'd take the smaller room with the hall bath if she put her TV in the family room.
We were both happy.
Don't let that guy squat in the room. That sucks. If he gets it fair and square that's one thing. Compromise is another -- if you want something of his, or you want him to take out the trash or something.
