I did have a nice moment after getting locked out. As I was leaving the house the second time... a flock of birds swooped down in front of me and into a tree in our front yard. At first I thought they were those common swallows... but they were titmouses... titmice... these:

Anyway, I was going to keep it to myself cuz it sounded cheesy.
But yeah, it was kinda cool.

Now bring on the titmouse jokes!

Monday night was stupid when I was in a six-car pile-up on Central Expressway involving an 18-wheeler.

:( Sorry to hear about the accident, but very very glad to hear you are okay.

Transportation at high speeds, why do you cause so many complications?!?!

Congrats on your survival, Mere. For some reasons, searching "Survival Cake" into Google doesn't produce any results.

Please accept these shelled cupcakes:

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys. I'm glad I'm alive, too.

And Nerf, I'll gladly accept your cupcake shell.

P.S.
We had titmice in Connecticut, but I was afraid to say that word out loud because I was 8 years old and I thought I'd get in trouble. Same with saying my Uncle Dick's name out loud. I just wouldn't do it.

I had two instances of dumb late last year.
Locking keys in your car can be so much fun.... ;) I was moving to my new apartment and had the last of my things packed in my car, which included a small duffel bag with my spare keys. I was holding my normal set of keys in my hand and just as I was shutting the trunk, they fell off. Yes, fell into the trunk. So there I was with the key ring fob in my hand and no keys. Boy I felt dumb having to explain that.

Luckily one of my friends husband's is a mechanic and had all the proper tools to "break in" to my car.
