that being said, londoners are some of the fastest walkers on the planet. FACT! I'm tired just thinking about keeping up.

No shit. I find myself sometimes wanting to just bowl over people. Especially teenagers. I've actually had to do some calming exercises when I get into work or home...People in this country just stop in the middle of the pavement to have conversations, or take up the whole pavement or block entrances/exits to stores. They see you coming, but they don't really care. I guess it would be the equivalent to road rage -- but now I walk to work. WALK RAGE!someone must have a pet peave
** and yes, people should pick up after dog poo. I also have to dodge that on the way to work!

this winds me up too, and i was born here. if a group of people are taking up the whole pavement then i choose one, make eye contact, and then play chicken with them until they get out of my way. because they should; it's the polite thing to doNo shit. I actually like the bustle of walking through crowds of people in a city unless it's at night and it's walking through crowds of pissed idiots outside clubs all smelling like a tart's windowbox...still I like the choice of walking rather than having to drive everywhere in dallas although with 449543495649 degree heat it's just as well

documentary from channel 4 Dispatches about supermarket secrets
http://www.meganova.org/details/271335.html
the summary is in the link
the main woman is a bit annoying, the taste test at the start is completely biased, some of the statistics are exaggerated and the music/sensationalist techniques are annoying but overall this is very much worth watching if you care about what you eat and want to find out how supermarkets/factory and organic farms operate. Channel 4 usually put out worthy documentaries and this is no different.
