I'm more of a nail tear-er/picker. It's just as neurotic.

Have you ever made paper or your own book?

A knuckle sandwich.

Do you ever find yourself using sayings or phrases that your parents use?

Sam and I were just talking about vacation. I want to make the next school break (3 weeks) count. I don't know where we're going, but somewhere good.

(My brother fell in a 5' ditch on his first night in St. Lucia and had to have emergency surgery because rebar went through his heel, and the standing water gave him a wicked infection. He wasn't even drunk, and it was a really nice resort. So watch out for giant ditches outside your hotel room.)

Suggestions for where to go on vacation in December?

Morocco. Or Barbados.

If you could destroy either Delaware or Mississippi, which would it be?

mississippi. my sister in law is from delaware, and i actually find missisissippi kind of depressing. like it's got an air of desperation that is unappealing to me.

did your parents scream at you?

My mom hollered a lot for me to do my chores or come downstairs on time (every morning before school), but they rarely yelled AT me for doing something bad. One time when I got a bad report card in college, I made my dad cry and that REALLY freaked me out.

I don't even like to think about it.

What's the worst punishment you've ever gotten from a parent?

well im watching it right now and it's pretty interesting. this white family turns black and this black family turns white (they get their skin airbrushed) and live life as the other race.

what is your favorite meal when you were younger that your parents or grandparents would make you?

My grandmother made these little crepes filled with applesauce called "plotzkes." She would make dozens of them and we'd have them at just about every meal when she visited.

And she made veal cutlets (with ketchup) that were AWESOME, but veal makes me sad now.

OH! And Gram's apple pie. Or nut roll. Or pineapple squares. She liked to bake. :D

What do/did you call your grandparents?
