it was something by marry higgins clark - it was supposed to be a mystery/thriller, but i had it all figured in the first 30 pages (and i never try to 'solve' mystery novels when i read them - i just like to enjoy the story as it develops)

what is the best book that you have read recently?

I'm glad you asked!
I just finished One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest and started A Confederacy of Dunces. Both excellent books, go buy them now.

A Confederacy of Dunces won the Pulitzer, but I never even heard of it until a few years ago.

Do you think if more kids were asked to read comtemporary fiction in school, more adults would be readers?

Only when it is REALLY cold -- and in Texas that doesn't happen much. Or Christmas.

Don't you have to have a work permit to work in the USA if you're not from the USA? Or did they get rid of all that and let all the migrants in?
