i can't totally remember what is sounded like, which is a bad sign in the first place.
but i remember instantly thinking it sounded like a really sucky tripping daisy. not that i expected more of them or anything.

hmn.
i mean, this is worlds apart. it's not that much of a bad song; i like the piano stuff and the instrumentation isn't too thick and unmanageable
BUT OH LORD THE DRUMS
WHY WHY WHY INDIE DISCO SHITTY DRUMS
THIS IS NOT THE KILLERS BRIAN WAKELAND WHAT ARE YOU THINKING
edit: headphones listen
i like the little vocoder "ahs" actually; i think they should do that more. i have a feeling that i would love this if it wasn't for the CUNT DRUMS CUNT CUNT DRUMS CUNT
edit 2: and the tapdancing is fucking ace!

I just now gave it a listen. This is so similar to what the Tim's group came up with during the Rock Lottery last year. Which leads me to two thoughts.edit 2: and the tapdancing is fucking ace!
-He either walked into Rock Lottery with songs prewritten (and there were suspicisions that he had) and he snubbed everyone else's suggestions (reliable word is he did) and he used it as a chance to feel out new ideas.
-Or, he took the ideas for the songs with him when the lights went out and called him his own. (the tap dancing of George Quartz at RL.)

I'm Calling
I'm Calling (the other "new" track): This song sounds more like the normal Sporkness. It's up at iTunes if you look hard enough. Try clicking on "More" if you care to look under the band's album listings, because whoever categorizes the songs put the album under Rock instead of Alternative.

Thanks. Texasgigs.com had it posted at one time but the links are dead and no one over there can find it any longer. Hmmm.....smells a conspiracy.I thought I'd downloaded it but a quick hunt through the hard drives hasn't thrown it up yet. will let you know if i find it.I've been trying to get a copy of that Rock Lottery track for months with no luck. Now I am really interested in hearing it and compare it to Mental Cabaret.
