shaka hislop is a super dallas fc hoops bull
Moderator: aquaphase
just saw that on sky sports, wow.
great shot stopper, commands the defence well. very rarely comes out of his 6 yard box so the dallas defenders will need to go for anything in the 18 yard box - i heard his knees are not in the greatest shape.
another one of my favourite keepers in the big D, awesome

- Here's how FCD landed Shaka Hislop...
Clarke and FCD Goalkeeper coach Alan Knight (who coached Hislop at Portsmouth) are sitting in the Irish Rover about three weeks prior to the World Cup. Clarke looks over and sees Knight is busy text messaging someone. "Who you messaging?" says Clarke.
"It's Shaka [Hislop]. He hasn't decided what to do for next year yet. He has an offer from West Ham but hasn't excepted. He's considering a couple other things." ((I'm paraphrasing of course as I am telling this third hand))
"Ask him if he would like to come play for us." says Clarke.
Knight starts clicking away.... "He says, 'Yes. He'd love to come play for Dallas.'"
And the rest is, as they say, history.
