A robeless Swedish Spree- I'm From Barcelona

Poor chaps, they'll surely be compared to the Spree everywhere (should they ever take off), but darn they look and sound cool. So yeah, despite their name, they're Swedish I think. Have ordered their album and single online (and darn- scandinavian sites all seem to be expensive shipping out of their little lands).

Website here:

www.imfrombarcelona.com

Look at the two videos (especially We're From Barcelona) and bask in the pure unadulterated geeky feel to them. I love it when music just makes me grin like a goon.

Very Architecture in Helsinki -ish in musical style.

Do all of them DO stuff, or just hang around on stage in fancy clothes?

Yeah, they reminded me of ...Helsinki, or perhaps more like what I wanted/expected ...Helsinki to sound like.

Have no idea if they all do stuff, not really too fussed though :D

We're From Barcelona sounds a lot like The Hidden Cameras to me. I like it.

I also really like that video, as I think I'm already in love with like, seven of them, even the odd Teasley Muppet one. I also like how they show that one guy mess up and then his friend laughs at him.

They're loving it now.

So am I.

Thanks for sharing.

P.S. I also like the part in the Collection of Stamps video where he slides onto the piano and totally tea-bags that chick. heh

P.P.S. How did you hear Rec & Play? I can't find a link to listen to anything past the first few songs. Did you find it elsewhere?

I looked around and www.megastore.se seemed to be the cheapest place (I think) with the postage. Although the single may not be essential- as three of the four tracks are from the album (although I think there's a two second difference in one of them, so I may have to check :D).

The album said it was 'copy controlled', and so I was a bit worried I couldn't record it onto our computer, but it did so I'm not too sure what happened there.

I did also laugh muchly at that. & again now, the first time I've watched the videos since having the album. Damn I love them. Must get around to getting a passport again and summoning the courage to fly over to Sweden.
Their album rules. Must make more people like them.
