what's a featured extra? are those the smaller roles that still end up in the credits, cause i always wondered why some people are in the credits and some aren't....

I'm guessing someone who gets screen time, but not a line.
In that yoga scene, there were a lot of shots of people reacting to a character's conversation, but they didn't say anything (if I remember correctly.)

ding ding ding. it's more than just someone in, say, a crowd shot. lots of times, you'll film a movie as an extra and not even be able to find yourself on screen. a featured extra is clearly visible, on screen for more than just a flash, but doesn't have any lines.

If you don't mind a movie whose turns you can predict 3-5 minutes in advance, this one was a good one!
Better than most, at least.
