ROBOTS ARE BLUE

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

ROBOTS ARE BLUE

Postby Irock » Thu May 24, 2007 3:22 am

So I was in Vegas at a cable TV industry trade show (us Verizon people do some of that TV now you know) two weeks ago, and one of the freebies I was given was an Independent Film Channel DVD; a series of shorts from IFC Media Lab (I don't know what that is actually but I assume people with cable might). Got one last year too but there was this 15 minute Nelson Twins parody and after that I couldn't watch any more.

So anywho, I'm watching this short film called Roborts Are BLue, and the first thing I notice is the train, then the station. It's definitely DART. Then there's this short, kinda shaggy lookin guy, known to me as a Toby. Then this blond guy I think I recognize. I didn't recognize Michael Turner til the credits listed him and I ran it back - the short hair threw me, plus he wasn't on camera very long and I was still, "dude, is that Toby?" I didn't recognize Joe Butcher either but I'm about to watch it again. I was looking for Justin, or at least his name in the credits because after the 2004 (?) Xmas show film I thought it might have been the DART offices too.

Yeah, so weird polyphork randomishness.

I only wish I had something to do with that awesomeness. It's pretty sweet that they put that on DVD. We've had that Media Lab on our TiVo for a damn long time. Great stuff.
