Someone was smart enought to finally put the Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz thing on google video.
So, if you've never seen it...
here's your chance to catch the first 45 minutes of it.

brilliant.
Still, though, it's best in full at a delicately crafted authentic home viewing.

well let's examine them separately.
yes, the Wiz of Oz is a great film
yes, pink floyd made great music
together....it's a great film and some great music...but without mind altering substances you just have a great film (with it's own good soundtrack) and some good music.
to me they seem separate, however, I could imagine if I were high, I'd totally be down with it cuz the music is easy to get lost in and I wouldn't have to concentrate on dialogue.
basically I see no point otherwise.

I say we skip "The Wizard Of Oz" and "Dark Side Of The Moon" and just do drugs.

Works for me. The Wizard of Oz annoys me to no end. I think it's third in my list of horrible horrible movies behind The Sound of Music and It's a Wonderful Life.

damn, I love all those movies....I'm a sucker for the classics and don't really do the horror films.
I vote to skip the movies too tho....

I suppose it requires a certain type of eyes and ears to catch all the synchronicities, though to me, they're not even subtle. I don't know how anyone misses them.

i agree. a friend of mine was watching it the other day and talking to me online, and she wasn't picking up on some of 'em. I was like...'oh, come on, they're SOOOOO obvious!'
when i was in college, the student union showed the movie and album performed together. over the course of the movie, it's a bit of a stretch, but yeah, it's interesting to see how it works.

Speaking of drugs and movies, NEVER watch the Evil Dead while tripping on mushrooms. I speak from personal experience...
