isnt hemp paper supposed to be a million times better? I think hemp can be recycled up to 16 times...
just looked it up and found this: "Hemp does not need pesticides or herbicides, and yields three to four times more usable fibre per hectare per annum than forests. And last but not least: paper recycling was invented to make up for the mistake of cutting down our primary forests. Technically speaking, one doesn't need to recycle hemp paper, because it is a renewable raw material."
huh. hemp clothing is also supposed to be 10 times more durable. apparently hemp jeans would last a lifetime whereas my $120 jeans last about 3 years if i wear them 3 or 4 times a week.
also, the fact that it doesnt need pesticides is huge. that means all hemp clothing and products would be organic... no need to spend double for organic cotton.
anyway, there are certain things that can change and will change and won't require THAT much money or research.

If that's true now (and I'm not convinced it is), growing more hemp crops will only result in insects adapting to eat more hemp as their other food sources (i.e. cotton) diminish becaus they're not being grown anymore. So before long hemp will need ...icides.just looked it up and found this: "Hemp does not need pesticides or herbicides...
...and didn't you make a point once about citing sources?
