Where is Reykjavik?

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

And Gail: Sugarcubes > Bjork. Let's fight.
OK. Punch (but not in the neck, in the arm).

I've saw the Sugarcubes back in 1991, and to be honest, I don't remember being overly impressed with them. If I were going to Iceland, I'd rather see Bjork on her own, with Sigur Ros and Mum opening...

I have heard rumours it did happen, right around the time Sigur Ros came out with Agaetis Byryun, and Mum was just becoming known.

I saw Bjork at Coachella and her band's keyboards and a lot of equipment had been stolen, so they did a kind of acoustic, weird show.

it would be nice to hear that in a small theater, but not at a giant festival. too bad.

Add to that -- being surrounded by 15 year olds on ecstacy and people from my company (we got in for free because we were having a dinner on the polo grounds where they hold Coachella.)

It was too bad. Except the free part.

Me and Ma were contemplating going to Iceland to see Sufjan play two nights in a church this November, but we eventually chickened out of the idea. Would've been muchos cool. A Sigur Ros/ Mum gig would be pretty awesome too.
