Do you think it will happen?
Would you want it to?
If so how do you think it would go down?
What about the idea of a prequel with a young uncle jun and tony's dad etc....
Sopranos Movie

I'd be down with a prequel, but that's it. Though it would have to be a really different type of story than the show... it would be nearly impossible to make a movie that had the same feel as the Sopranos TV show.

I'm going to be the fuddy duddy here, but jeebus I hope they just leave it where it is. I'm so sick of these characters that I was less than mildly interested in fucking eons ago that I just don't care what they do next. Seriously, how badly do the fans have to be treated before they just give up entirely. 2 years between seasons, quarter seasons, an "epic" series finale that just leaves everyone in complete darkness!?!??!! C'mon folks, even the ever-evasive X-files gave us more than the Sopranos did when it finally ended.
If they do a movie I'd love for it to be 15 minutes long. 7 minutes of it being a repeat of the wrapup they did for the show and 8 minutes of them writhing around on the ground after being shot repeatedly in the face followed by 20 minutes of credits. That would be the big final "fuck you" to all the people who have invested so much time and effort into it all. Plus, it would be a real hoot to just sit back and watch people try and get a refund for their $7 after a shocker like that.
OK, I'll stop bitching now...

The way they always talked about Tony's dad -- I think a prequel could be really, really interesting.
Except it would feel very Godfather II-ish, and I don't think they want that.
Not that there's anything wrong with Godfather II; it just isn't an original idea anymore. . . and it would probably end up feeling a lot like GoodFellas from the time period. . .
- Mere "too derivative is what I am trying to say" 1975

there's an x-files movie coming out soon. i saw the commercial on tv the other day. but i didn't watch the series except when my dad was (and i remember one gave me nightmares when i was a kid, this guy got his head soaked in liquid nitrogen and smashed, i was terrified), so i don't have much else to offer but that.C'mon folks, even the ever-evasive X-files gave us more than the Sopranos did when it finally ended.
