Top gigs of 2007

Music, movies, entertainment, etc. Because James wanted it (and seems like a pretty good idea)

I've been to just over 50 gigs so far this year (I've got about 5 gigs left this year). I've had to cut myself off from shows for the remainder of 2007 unless they're free. :o I spend way to much money on concerts.

Next year I am really going to put a limit on my purchased tix and festivals. free gigs are great, but if I have to pay I will not spend more than $500 for the entire year. Yikes that's only just over $40 as month. I don't think I can do that. I mean I might be able to ....but it will be HARD! :?

boys named sue
I was thinking about this last night, and I have to say that this (plus Tejano Brothers) was probably goin down as the most fun I had at a show all year. It was greatness.

FINALLY saw him. Took him forever to actually make his way across the pond and to my neck of the woods. But worth the wait! :D

Favourite 10 gigs of 2007 in no particular order:

Kaiser Chiefs / Gruff Rhys / The Cribs at the Royal Albert Hall
Suburban Kids with Biblical Names at a little club in Soho
Silent League at the Joiners Arms
The Clarksons at the Boathouse
Josh P at the Wedge
Bad Brains at the Astoria
Super Furry Animals / Adam Hussain (GLC) at the Guildhall
Klaxons at Portsmouth Pyramids
Midlake / Robert Gomez in Oxford
Gallows at the Wedge (Amy in the circle pit was cool 8) )

anything before October seems like last year mind. Maybe we need a top albums of the month / gigs of the month just as a refresher liks.
