I apparently missed the boat on them, and just now heard of them. So I'm going through their four records now. Haven't heard a bad song yet.

I saw them at acl, they're really good live.

the second entry on lil' jen medina's blog has their acl set. i think. it says it has it, but I have dialup and can't check.

bringing it back on topic... they're playing in London at Shepherds Bush on November 7th and 8th with St Vincent supporting - looks like tickets are still available.

I got in to them with the utterly sublime Cherry Tree ep. If you don't have that, then be sure to buy it.
Then I bought their album before that, Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, and really loved that too.
Alligator seemed a bit of a let down afterwards (despite everyone loving it), although it grew on me.
& Boxer is really really great, most pleased with that.

Still need to get their first album at some point though.
