Yeah, House of Blues wasn't the best ever but they put on shows that aren't super well known and more latin, rap, house etc. (plus a few rejects like Starship and Ted Nugent) that Live Nation wouldn't touch.
Besides them all we have left in Chicago is Jam Productions and they've been fighting the good fight for so long that I feel like it's only a matter of time before they throw in the towel.
The dude who wrote the article was basically saying that now that clear channel is taking over at the club level expect ever increasing ticket prices and more of the same ol' same ol' until they rule the world.
