my god, that's beautiful. it totally lifted my sour spirits this morning!
and i could so use that in the classroom.
one day, the kids come in the class...
'hey kids, watch this!'
and when they laugh--because teenagers are evil that way--
i'll say:
'guess what, kids! i just educated you! that laughter, it has a name. it's called SCHADENFREUDE'

i was going to reply to this with the smart-ass comment "they don't know what Nazis are," but then i realized that such a statement is probably quite true....and then they'll call you a Nazi and beat you with sticks.

That video was the first thing I saw this morning (okay, 3pm).
I cried a little when the blocks fell, but while one eye was welling up with tears of sorrow and empathy, the other poured forth tears of laughter: pure SCHADENFREUDE (is that really how that's spelled?).
Plus, that guy's reaction sucked. Where's the drama?!?
