so i'm thinking 'mmm midlake in europe playing lots of support dates, must have a bit of time to play their own show' and then i have a look at their website / forum this morning and there's nothing there so that's cool i think, just keep an eye on that one.

then i log onto myspace approx 14 hours later to see a message posted by bella union to say come on down to london cos midlake are playing a magazine party in london tonight only a fiver in.

*shakes fist - could have gone if i had seen the message earlier*

last november i had tickets to see tv on the radio in london, but then the singer's dad died and they cancelled on the actual day. I got rung up by the ticket company who said it was cancelled and i got a refund.
however, if I'd have read their actual website, i would have known that not only did the rest of the band play a set from the new album
but

headlined

but yes, gutted about midlake. I would have loved to have seen them with or without the Earliers. I'm just pre-ordering van occupanther now.
