I believe the next step is:
1. Kicking ass.
2. Taking names.

So I've nevr paid attention to any inaugeration before, so I realize this may be a stupid question, nevertheless; he's not actually in the parade, is he? Cuz - you know - bad track record for that and all.
I think it's hillarious that the guy swearing him in flubbed a line. I think they should engrave a quote of it on his headstone when he dies.

I had my spirits dampened by one of my closest friends, who (pretty surprisingly, to me) was seething the whole time we watched the inauguration in the office cafeteria. Sucks.
Even still. . . I can feel happiness and pride swelling in my chest, and I feel like we are on the right track.

Ug, and by "that guy," I mean Chief Justice of the US Supreme court, of course. In my defence, I only heard the tail end and it was by radio. My class started today at 11 and the prof seemed puzzled as to why only about half the class was there today.
Oh, Mere: I think what "we" did was let him convince "us" to use taxpayer money to build the Ballpark at Arlington for him. This is probably when he realized he might want to take up the practice of democracy for fun and profit.
eh, or not. Whatever, I'm still pissed at him for beating Ann Richards.

We have real mugs for coffee - they did away with all styrofoam - so we tend to get a mix of things (including a Don't Mess with Texas mug that I only saw once). Anyhow... I get in to work, go to get my cuppa and there's a DEMOCRAT w/Donkey mug sitting there, so I used that one today. I took that as a really nice sign. My co-workers actually thought I brought it in!
Hooray for today.

yeah President Obama now has to get to work (well actually per the TV right now, he's on his way to a prayer service) but then to the office.
Me I'm on my way to a party hosted by Speaker of the House Pelosi (who gave me my ticket) then off to see more of D.C. (museums, White House - with the black people, a closer look at Lincoln Memorial).

The leaks could be coming from all that fisting.
