it's no surprise she is, it's more of a fun surprise that people are talking about it on the record.

My thoughts as well. It's really pathetic. But I recall the same thing happening to Gore. Remember chubby, bearded Gore? Shave his head and call him Hifi, man.
I'm not suprised Fox News and O'Really sat on this until after the election. I think I'm going to watch Fox news a bit more just for the enjoyment of seeing them go "Oh, yeah. We were with you guys all along.". They've already started. Did anyone catch Chris Wallace on The Daily Show last night? They moderation-pretend won't last long. So set your DVR.
I watched a bit of the video. O'Reilly brought up "tutoring" Palin. My mind melted at that and I didnt' watch the rest. Tutoring? Really? My kids would get tutoring if they were struggling with 5th grade Geograhy or Social Studies. The things Palin had wrong are really basic, basic, basic facts that any grade school kid should know. If those are the gaps in her knowledge... I'd hate to see the chasms.

Yeah, this may be overly-optomistic, but I think even W knows Africa is a continent.

I don't listen to Mr. Limbaugh's radio show, but my husband told me that yesterday Rush was letting out all the the stuff he'd been holding back about McCain. I hope he feels better now that he's gotten all that off his chest so he can start on Obama.
I don't hate often but Limbaugh does stir up that emotion in me and that's one reason I avoid him.

And now it appears that the Republicans are sending lawyers to check into her shopping sprees.
Governor Palin was not directing staffers to put anything on their personal credit cards, and anything that staffers put on their credit cards has been reimbursed
How very "these aren't the droids you are looking for"

loved this part
McCain himself rarely spoke to Palin during the campaign, and aides kept him in the dark about the details of her spending on clothes because they were sure he would be offended. Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request.
I noticed Palin close to tears during the speech, just didn't realize it was because she was being shot down by her own people.

Actually, a lot of conservatives and Republicans did NOT want McCain at all. I know I didn't. Rush didn't. O'Reilly didn't. We knew he was a mistake to go up against Obama. The problem was, McCain was thought of as the perfect person to take on Hillary Clinton, and though I sort of see the reasoning behind it, he wasn't a good match against Obama. There was a lot of resentment about him being selected as the candidate.
One of the reasons for this was we considered McCain to be a RINO, aka Republican in Name Only. A Romney, a Ron Paul, or a Huckabee would have provided a tougher fight against Obama. I know that those two would have appealed to a different Democratic base--my father, for instance, stated that had either of those two run, he would have voted Republican for the first time since Nixon.

wait, mccain hates women and gays. that doesn't make him republican by default?
ron paul might have had a chance, but he's not very conservative in my eyes. huckabee is the dennis kucinich of the republican party; WAY TOO FUCKING CONSERVATIVE. if it was up to him, he would replace the bill of rights with the ten commandments. he isn't electable, frankly.
the thing is: AMERICANS WANT OBAMA. that's it. it doesn't matter who he went against, a good majority of the people want obama as president.
