so i have a question i'm too lazy to look up.

you're never supposed to double bag condoms, I have learned since I was like 10 in sex education, because it causes too much friction or whatever.

yet doctors double bag their gloves for surgery. AND the gloves aren't lubricated.

what's the difference??

really? In surgery there isn't the same amount of friction as during sex; not to mention that latex gloves and latex condoms are different thicknesses and generally constructed of different materials. If my heart surgeon was chest-fucking me with his fist like a teenager in heat, I think he might worry about "rupture," but I'm guessing that like 95% of all surgeries just don't have that type of friction.

i dunno it just seems weird. i mean, why wear 2 sets of gloves though? why not just one thicker pair or something? i'm sure there are hundreds of articles about why it became the standard, but still.

also grey's anatomy is fake bc they always wear 1 set of gloves, even in brain surgery. and they have nurses standing around touching everything in the sterile area with no gloves on. i mean, since when does network tv not stick to the truth??

When I worked in the chemical industry we double bagged our gloves. Of course, ours were industrial latex gloves and not sterilized. There was a powder inside that would keep them from creating friction. We did it to take extra care. The outer glove would often break and the second pair saved our skin.

Sometimes we wore cotton gloves as well because your hands would get crazy sweaty. The cotton gloves were made specifically to go under latex gloves.

Then sometimes when we were bored we'd give ourselves Mickey Mouse hands by putting on ninety-seven pairs of gloves. It was really, really funny but you had to be there but not really.
