It confuses me out how much Kristin Chenoweth looks like a younger, cheerier Amy Sedaris, and her doing parodies is just doing to confuse me more.

I'm laughing, but that is seriously fucked up.

Sorta half-way SPOILER Alert.... if anyone plans to read the book Wiked.

The way the narration would jump to months later and never completely fill you in on the details you missed was irritating. The action was reeeally slow in coming; 400+ pages and there were - maybe five key scenes?

But mainly:

1. If a character dies while his girl is preggo, and they don't find the body, that character has to come back, damnit!!

2. I wanted / expected a happy ending.

Because there were lots of seeds like this that were planted and never fleshed out (Madame Morrible, for instance, or Dr. Dillimond's work) I really felt like I was just being set up to read the rest of the series, which I guess would have been sort of ok if I had enjoyed the book (but not really because when an author does that it's so money-grubby and commercial that I feel like they might as well just go write soap operas), but I just didn't find it enjoyable.

fair enough. i wanted a happy ending too, but i enjoyed that it didn't have one. and there's one one other book in the "series" - which, coincidentally, i hated and never finished. but i love, love, loved the book. the character of elphaba is just so intriguing. and way different than the musical.
