I won't even go into how expensive software and art supplies were each quarter for an undergraduate degree I haven't even (won't?) finished yet. . .

$300 is a small price to pay to increase your understanding of the magical world of organic chemistry.for USED books for THREE classes. over $300 was for organic chem alone.

ooooh 3d molecule kit! sounds crafty! bring it over, we can have fun with it like other people do with model airplanes!

Fuck the molecule kits, they never helped me visualise anything. Especially when you are looking at 10-11 stage synthesis and that sort of shit. And i need to buy a goddamn miniature 3D molecule kit.
Seriously.
Going back to school is such a bummer. I had O Chem today. Teacher seems really good but I just don't know how much I can bring myself to care about carbon right now. I'm taking a nap.
Carbon is ace, though I've always got a soft spot for phosphorus.
I wish they did, but when you do the list of required/recommended texts, the TCU bookstore doesn't list ISBNs and I don't want my kid to have to send books back. They do have titles, authors and editions but no ISBNs. Anyone know a way around that? The engineering department is so small and relatively new that there are often no used books unless you order them ahead and they get them from somewhere else.guys--
USE AMAZON.
i saved a pretty penny on my books this semester by buying from Amazon--like, 20 to 30 dollars per book on NEW purchases.
For 14 hours:
$949.35 if all new books
$712.00 if all used books

i had this dick prof who's own book we used for his class. he kind laughed at how much it cost and said something about thanks for sending his kids to college. he's the dean of the tv/r/f dept at unt now. some people love him. not this guy.
