second episode of the fifth season just premiered. i wasn't planning on starting a project runway thread but i just have to get some things off my chest.

i hate suede.
i hate blaine.
i hate stella.
there are probably more people i hate but i can't remember.

i love daniel feld. i loved his cup dress in the first episode and he is possibly the most gorgeous man i have ever seen.

okay i feel better now.

I also like Daniel a whole bunch! I thought his dress would end up at the top again this week. (Who doesn't love a dress with pockets? Except the brown satin one this time.)

I was also feeling Terry the Tranny's dress (not really a tranny, but Dalya gravitated toward her butchiness immediately, ha.)

And Suede is so damn annoying (will be on The Soup for SURE this week). . . but I agreed that his dress was pretty terrific!

Kenley's dress collar sure was nice -- when Daniel Vosovic did it! Similar, no?

Sidenote: I think Kenley herself is just gorgeous.

Another sidenote: Natalie Portman's eye make-up made her look a little cross-eyed or something.

I wish they would knock off more than one each week, because there are at least 3-4 stinkers that need to go right now. And too many idiots trying to start catch phrases.

suede needs to go. i didn't know there were still people in the universe who talked about themselves in third person. he is 37 years old and his childish behavior scares the hell outta me.

stella's dress looked like something a hooker would wear. actually i am pretty certain there are hookers walking the street right now in dresses that are very similar. ughghg

blaine looks like he is 80 years old because of his tan. SCARY.

i do like daniel and kenley. i am going to miss wesley ;(

I don't watch it enough to know what season it's on now.

New season just started last week, so we're now on season 5, episode 2.

And yes, that's the 2nd place guy from a few years ago -- I posted it because one of the dresses last night reminded me of his design from a few years ago.

ah ok, thanks mere. I usally do wait until about half the people are gone before I watch. makes it easier to get into the show.

I hadn't even noticed it was on, haven't seen one commerical or anything. weird.

oh wait, it moved to lifetime? if that's the case. I don't watch the channel. It's the channel my mom watches. they have murder she wrote, bad lifetime movies, etc.

It moves to Lifetime for season 6. . . and Bravo is suing the production company over it, so I read somewhere that season 5 wasn't getting its usual promotion.

Suede is a jackass who is both too gay and not gay enough at the same time. (That will either make sense to you or it won't.)

Stella (thats leather queen right?) is a moron with cheap, horrible taste. Her dress was ugly as hell. DON'T EVER PUT LACE-UPS THAT ARE FUNCTIONAL! DUMB! What, is your dress a shoe? Stupid.

Coke-head California dude does bad impressions of people and continues to do coke and also thought referring to Star Wars was clever. What a genius. How did he possible make the connection to refer to someone he finds scary and mean as Darth Vader? I can't make that mental leap.

A lot of the girls are pretty good. I would have liked Afrika's dress if she hadn't left such big flaps of fabric. The ones on the sides and back looked like rudders, but the ones on the bodice were kind of cute. She just executed it shitty.

That brown fabric was ugly as hell.

i don't know how i feel about this season. after the train wreck that was the first episode, i'm already annoyed with just about all of them. i agree -- a lot of the girls seem pretty good, but the one's i don't like (stella and korto) i REALLY don't like. meh.

i may just take a break and then wait for the midseason marathon to catch up, cause right now they're just disappointing.

MERE! i said the SAME THING about the daniel vosovic ripoff dress. i was all, "jeez, i liked that dress when danny v was inspired by an orchid." i mean, it was different cause kenley's was all tight and fitted, but the collar was the total same idea. bah.

suede's dress was kinda awesome, though, and if i were a size 0, i'd wear that all the time. i hate him personally, but i liked his dress.

what were the judges THINKING with stella's dress being in the top? it was totally 80s roller derby. it didn't look chic or classy AT ALL, and (though it wasn't technically stella's fault) the color was AWFUL for that model. what was it that nina garcia said about short, tight, and shiny???

blayne wants to be christian, and i want to punch him in the face. stop trying to start a catchphrase and be a character, and please start designing. kthx. and seriously, enough with the coke, dude. you are on national television. and you're making it obvious by your bug eyes and your every-three-seconds sniffs.

I agree with you katie (and mere). I'm too lazy to type my own thoughts up.

Can I just say the first guy voted off the island (Jerry?)...WTF was he thinking? When they showed his work at his shop, everything was black and looked very nice as "chic" then he made that slasher outfit with rubber gloves. I'm glad they voted him out, what utter crap.

the first guy who got cut was totally a vera wang rip-off. and not just because he's asian. his clothes are all blah colors and deconstructed with lots of layering options. been there. think of something new.
