Yes! I remember them from being an Austin, TX band.
Good stuff.

One of my favs!

If you enjoyed it... look for Adam Wiltzie's other project The Dead Texan.

they just played dallas, and I didn't know shit about them. they left, then I learned about about them... I wish I had a machine of time because my friends who saw them said they were mostly badass.

i had tickets to see them in austin but the person i bought them with/for and i don't speak to each other. apparently he had a good time at the show, the asshole.

they were touring as an 'orchestra' and a cinematic show, which, of course, would be totally badass.

and their string quartet is HOT. not hot as in 'badass' but hot as in 'hey, beautiful, care to resin up my bow?' hot

'hey, beautiful, care to resin up my bow?'
If I had a vagina, I'm pretty sure that would have killed it.

The Stars of the Lid show I saw was 2 violins, a Cello and 2 guitarists, plus lightshow/pretty amazing visuals. It was ace, although I did begrudge paying £10 on the door.

...Care to resin my bow?! What does that mean exactly?

yeah, i finally had to admit to myself and accepted the fact that the guy i'd called a good friend for years is a total nimrod, a definite scrub, and an utter lamestain. hard, yes--but not surprised.

oh, and see--string section hotness!
