I found my results pretty interesting. As a centrist, I took both tests. However, reading through the Republican answers I found myself on the verge of vomit more often than not and found it hard to agree with any of them on many things, so perhaps I'm going more towards the left in my old age...

Anyway, here are my scores:

Dems:

1. Hilary Clinton 65pts
2. John Edwards 55pts
3. Barack Obama 20pts

Reps:

1. Ron Paul 40pts
2. John McCain 25pts
other three losers tied for third at 20pts.

I like the way it takes the faces and spin out of the equation. I honestly thought I'd like Obama's answers more than the others, but apparently not.

Dems:

Edwards - 40 points
Clinton - 23
Obama - 27

I have no idea... I didn't vote for any of that "two americas" bullshit but Edwards still came out on top.

Edwards - 27 points
Clinton - 25
Obama - 57

Um, they all said the same thing on at least half the questions...

Clinton was the one it picked for me, but it may not like my browser because it doesn't display a point value for her. But Edwards got 34 and Barack got 19.

I didn't like that on the "poverty" question, everyone talked about supporting young children and their parents, but no one talked about educating low-income people on the benefits of not having 32835468560 kids. I guess they're not allowed to say that, but it's got to be a primary factor in poverty

Um, well, actually the biggest factor in reducing the birth rate, and by extension the poverty rate, is education for WOMEN. It happens in every society as the women become educated the birth rate drops. Coincidence? I think not.

Not surprising for me, the quiz picked Obama, but only by a slight margin. I don't remember exactly, but it was pretty even over all three candidates, which only illustrates what I already knew - there's not a nickel's worth of difference between them. I just want the one who will win in November, and at this point I'm not sure which one that is.

There are big differences between the candidates. Just not ones that can be found on a simplistic quiz that generates "preference" based upon policy issues that we should be looking far beyond.

But for what its worth...

Not totally fair though, because I already new my candidates answers and recognized their voice in how their policies/answers were stated. The last couple of statements on obama's last answer were the most telling to me.

I just tried to look up my polling place, only to find out that I am no longer registered to vote.

Seems that when they ask you in Dallas County if you want to renew your registration when you change your driver's license address, and you say "Yes," they don't tell Collin County about that.

You have to do it separately.

So I suck, and I can't vote for 30 days.

Woulda been fun, though.

I am still not sure if I prefer Barack or Hillary, but I guess I will know soon enough when only one of them is a candidate.

I drove by our early polling place this afternoon around 2 and the line was out the door and down the street: probably around 150 yards. It was wild.

True...you know things are changing when there is a very good possibility that the people of Texas are going to make the more progressive choice before California. But to be fair...it's a different world than before super tuesday.

No matter who you support...it is great that the people are voting.
