i just submitted by dissertation proposal to the national science foundation (nsf) - only about 25% of proposals get accepted and funded, so now i just have to wait patiently (for the next 3-4 months) to hear if i am the one in four that gets lucky.

yikes.

lets just hope the powers-that-be want to let me be an anthropologist.

i'm going back to bed now.
