They ring this huge-ass bell outside Busan Tower 33 times to mark the new year. This isn't even my picture. I was at home watching it on TV... because I can't get enough K-pop girlgroup dance performances.

We celebrated with our family (14 people and 2 dogs, of course) and seafood lasagna.

I enjoyed both.

That's just a few steps away on a slippery, slippery slope to 'crazy Christmas person, never puts the decorations away'.

there used to be a pub in portsmouth where they wouldn't take the christmas decorations down until pompey were knocked out of the FA Cup.

while in most years that meant the first week in January, in 1992 they were still up in mid-April (semi final replay) - if it wasn't for the penalty loss they'd have been up all year (cos we would have beaten Sunderland in the final, honest! )

Nooo, it's perfectly acceptable to have the Xmas stuff up till Jan 1. Another week and I'd be a procrastinator.

I yanked the lights off the house yesterday. It's a Jan 1 tradition. But the Nativity is staying out there a bit longer because I didnt' feel like getting the boxes out of the attic.

I should have waited for Epiphany to put out the wise men... you know, like play things out in real time.

I took down the lights, garland, wreath, candles, stockings today while watching Elf. It made me a little bit sad. :(

My aunt and uncle have been giving us one or two pieces of a really nice nativity set each year for the past 5 or so years. I'm wondering if it is okay to have TWO donkeys? or should I tell her we already had one?
We also got sheep again this year, but that is okay because they are smaller sheep and with the other two it will be more like a flock.
One year my brother got an extra baby Jesus!

I was really hoping for the big ass angel that goes over the manger.

zen "announcing angel?" momma

PS: Is your nativity a giant glowing one?

Two donkeys and two sheep sound nice. . . two Jesuses? Funny!

I have a small tin nativity scene for inside. Kind of like this, but not painted -- just silvery.

I LOVE watching Elf! It really is becoming the kind of movie I can see over and over at Christmas. Nice job, Jon Favreau.

My nativity is old timey but newish. I really dug these when I was a kid and totally wanted one when I was a grown up. Now I have it. It's tacky as hell but I dig it.

this isn't a pic of mine but same set.

I don't have that camel and I don't have any shepherds or the angel.
I'll probably have to order them online but I always forget until I put them up and then they get pricey and hard to find because everyone else wants them.

The weather was very warm (been extra cold in SF), Josh Homme got out of his limo right infront of me and I restrained myself. He's super sexy...mmmmm EODM were super fun and me and my friends had a really great night.

Happy New Year everyone! Best wishes for 2008! :D
