Miss Wenn, of Hull, said: "I'm sorry about what I did to Anthony but you just don't eat my pork chops and expect to get away with it.
"They're my favourite and I'd made them with peas and carrots with onion gravy.
"I'd been thinking about that meal all day, it looked lovely when I put it in the fridge and when I got home and saw he'd eaten them I saw red.
"He looked fit to burst, he was so full and had obviously really enjoyed MY meal."

some fantastic comments from the mail readership:

- Russell, London
He's learned not to eat her food - she's learned that GBH isn't an imprisonable offence and that judges are not doing what they're overpaid for.
- Pc, Merseyside
She should have been sent down as she has shown no sign of remorse. Her view, he won't touch my chops again, says it all. Being lenient with these people only encourages domestic violence.
- Alan, Frankfurt, Germany
Since when was there humour and fun to be had in stories of domestic violence and stabbing?
- Dei, UK
At 45 she already a grandmother of eight. My God!
- David, East Sussex
If she can assault and injure her partner over a plate of food, it begs the question what else is she capable of?
- Shirley, UK
